Field Training is currently canceled due to COVID-19
We will resume Field Training as soon as we are able to do so safely.
In the meantime, we have our Fields Kids and Youth classes available as online resources for you and your family to take advantage of. Check out our Kids & Youth At Home page to learn more.
A Gift from God
We know that children are a gift from the Lord (Psalms 127:3) and that parents are responsible for discipling them in the truth of God's Word (Deut 6:4-9). It is our prayer that your children will learn to love and walk closely with Jesus and we are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you as you disciple your children. In addition to equipping you to be the parents God wants you to be, we hope to provide a safe, fun, and gospel-centered environment for your kids to learn about Jesus every Sunday morning. The Y has an amazing KidZone & Community Room and our partnership allows us full use of their facilities to host our kids every Sunday morning.
Field Training is age appropriate Discipleship Classes for your kids at 8:45am on Sundays. Classes range from birth-6th grade. Each class will be focused on teaching the Bible in fun and engaging ways so that the gospel message will come off the page and impact their life throughout the week.

- 18 months - 3 years (Kidzone)
- 4's, 5's, & K (Kidzone)
- 1st-3rd grade (Community Room A)

Check-In & Security
Children can be checked in starting at 8:30am. First-time guests, please come early so we can get your families info and everyone off to class on time.
Check-in takes place at the welcome desk just inside the main entrance of the YMCA. We have a secure check-in and check-out process that will ensure your child’s safety while they are at The Fields. There is a registration computer at the welcome desk where you will be able to print security stickers for you, your child, and their bag with corresponding numbers, as well as allergy alerts. Additionally, all of our volunteers and staff must first complete a thorough background check and awareness training through Ministry Safe before they can volunteer to serve in our childcare area to make sure we are above reproach.
Once you have checked in, we will direct you to the appropriate classes so you can drop off your kids. All kids and adult Field Training classes last 1 hour. When class is over at 9:45am, please go back to your kids classes and present your security tag to pick up your kids. After that, make your way to the gym for our weekly worship gathering at 10am. There will be extended childcare for kids birth-kinder in the Kidzone during the service.
For the sake of our kids, families, teachers, and communities continued health, please do not plan on attending or dropping off your children if you or they have had any potentially contagious symptoms within the past 24 hours:
- Hacking or wet-sounding cough
- Green icky nose
- Signs of pink eye or infection
- Signs of lice
- or any other concerning symptoms that may not be listed
We are currently using The Gospel Project which takes kids on a Christ-centered, chronological journey through Scripture. Kids will discover how the gospel unfolds from Genesis through Revelation. When kids truly experience the gospel, their hearts are transformed. It is the gospel, not good behavior, that changes everything. Our hope is that your child will understand that every story in God’s Word points to the salvation of God’s people through Jesus Christ alone. Click here to see the 3 year plan!
After our Field Training classes, school age kids from 1st-6th grade will be dismissed to worship with their parents during our worship gathering. However, if you would prefer to bring your younger childen into the main worship gathering with you, please do! We value both of these options and support you as the parents to choose which option works best for your family. Click here to read more about Family Worship.
